A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed54 were called to attend an RTC at 18.53pm and were on scene at 19.12pm. Patient was motorcyclist who suffered fractures and was transferred to hospital via land ambulance.
Helimed53 were called to attend a fall at 12.21pm and were on scene at 12.35pm. Patient sustained head injuries and was conveyed with TAAS to hospital by land ambulance.
G-TCAA worked alongside SONeT to transfer a patient from one end of the country to the other, in just 1 hour 6 minutes. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 4 hours.
Medic54 were called to attend an RTC at 17.06pm and were on scene at 17.13pm. Young patient was assessed on scene and transferred to hospital by land.
Helimed53 were called to attend a fall at 11.34am and were on scene at 11.51am. Patient was assessed and had suffered back injury following a fall from height. Left with EMAS for further care.
Helimed53 were called to attend a medical incident at 10.55am and were on scene at 11.02am. Cyclist had suffered cardiac arrest was transferred to hospital by road for further care.
Helimed53 were called to attend an agricultural incident at 16.57pm and were on scene at 17.10pm. Assisted patient following incident at farm site and transported to hospital via road.
G-TCAA worked alongside NWTS to transfer a patient from the North to a specialist hospital in just 1hr 13 minutes. This journey by land ambulance would have taken nearly 4.5 hrs.
G-PICU worked alongside CATS to transfer a patient from the East to a specialist hospital in just 41 minutes. This journey by land ambulance would have taken nearly 3 hours.
Medic53 were called to attend an RTC at 21.05pm and were on scene at 21.20pm. Young patient was assessed on scene and transferred to hospital by land.
Helimed54 were called to attend an RTC at 17.24pm and were on scene at 17.41pm. A motorcyclist had sustained head injury was anaesthetised on scene and transferred to hospital by land.
Medic54 were called to attend an assault at 3.33am and were on scene at 3.57am. Assisted EMAS with incident where one patient was assessed and conveyed to hospital for further treatment.
