A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed53 were called to a medical incident at 15.54pm and were on scene at 16.07pm. Worked alongside WMAS on patient in cardiac arrest who was conveyed with TAAS to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 15.56pm and were on scene at 16.09pm. TAAS were first medical resource on scene and 4x patients were assessed before being left with other service to convey to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 13.23pm and were on scene at 13.41pm. Patient in cardiac arrest was resuscitated and transferred by land to hospital for further care.
Helimed53 were called to attend a fall at 8.43am and were on scene at 8.56am. Patient had sustained injuries from a fall. Trauma care was given on scene supporting EMAS before being left with other service.
Medic54 were called to attend an RTC at 6.44am and were on scene at 7.20am. Patient was assessed and provided treatment before being transferred to hospital by land.
Helimed54 were called to attend a sporting trauma at 10.22am and were on scene at 10.45am. Patient sustained neck and head injury after horse riding incident and was flown to hospital for further care.
Medic54 were called to attend an assault at 22.18pm and were on scene at 22.25pm. Patient was assessed and left with EMAS crew.
Medic54 were called to attend an RTC at 8.10am and were on scene at 8.45am. Patient sustained head injury and was stabilised to facilitate transfer to hospital for further care.
Helimed53 were called to attend an RTC at 12.00pm and were on scene at 12.26pm. Patient was assessed and left with other service for conveyance to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to attend a medical incident at 12.31pm and were on scene at 12.55pm. Patient suffered respiratory arrest and was provided advanced medication before being conveyed to hospital for further care.
Helimed54 were called to attend a sporting incident at 11.11am and were on scene at 11.28am. Patient with head injury was escorted by land to hospital for further care.
Medic54 were called to attend an RTC at 23.33pm and were on scene at 23.58pm. Patient assessed and conveyed to hospital following high impact RTC.
