A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

G-TCAA worked alongside SONeT to transfer a patient to the South in just 1.14mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 3hrs.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 16.39pm and on scene at 16.55pm. Assisted EMAS with the assessment and treatment of patient. Advance pain relief administered before conveying to hospital for further care.
Helimed54 were called to a sporting incident at 16.03pm and on scene at 16.27pm. Patent had sustained leg injury and given pain relief and sedation before being flown to hospital.
Medic53 were called to a medical incident at 21.59pm and on scene at 22.09pm. Patient in prolonged seizure was assessed and conveyed to hospital for continued care.
Helimed53 were called to a fall at 11.26am and were on scene at 11.36am. Patient fell from height and sustained minimal injuries which were treated by land crew.
Medic53 were called to a fall at 23.40pm and were on scene at 23.50pm. Attended an incident to help a patients who was then conveyed with TAAS to hospital by land ambulance.
Medic53 were called to an RTC at 15.32pm and on scene at 15.40pm. Patient provided analgesia before being escorted to hospital by land ambulance.
Medic53 were called to a fall at 2.25am and were on scene at 2.35am. Attended an incident where patient was assessed and conveyed with TAAS for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 11.41am and were on scene at 12.00pm. Patient in cardiac arrest was resuscitated on scene and transported with TAAS to hospital for continued care.
G-PICU worked alongside Embrace to transfer a patient from the North East in just 34mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 1.5 hrs.
Medic53 were called to a fall at 21.22pm and were on scene at 21.50pm. Attended patient who had sustained injuries following a fall and conveyed to hospital for further care.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 12.35pm and were on scene at 12.49pm. Asked to assist EMAS with patient care and also assisted with transfer to hospital.
