A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Medic54 were called to an RTC at 21.06pm and on scene at 21.18pm. TAAS were first on scene and patient was assessed before being transferred to hospital by EMAS for continued care.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 5.38am and on scene at 6.05am. Patient had sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed53 were called to a fall at 10.25am and on scene at 10.36am. Assessed and treated patient who had fallen and sustained head injury and had seizure. Patient was anaesthetised before being conveyed to hospital.
G-PICU worked alongside WATCH to transfer a patient from the South West in just 1hr 37mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken 6hrs.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 16.18pm and on scene at 16.55pm. Patient was assessed before being taken to hospital by EMAS.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 4.40am and on scene at 4.55am. Patient assessed and handed over to EMAS for continued care.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 3.24am and on scene at 3.36am. Patient assessed before leaving with other service for continued care.
Medic53 were called to an fall at 12.51pm and on scene at 13.11pm. Patient was assessed following a fall and left with other service for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to a fall at 12.39pm and on scene at 12.54pm. Patient had fallen and was treated and flown to hospital for further care.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 15.04pm and on scene at 15.42pm. Patient sustained head injury and was assessed and anaesthetised before being conveyed by land for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to a leisure incident at 10.41am and on scene at 10.58am. Patient had fallen from horse and was assessed and treated before leaving with EMAS for continued to care.
Helimed53 were called to a medical incident at 12.34pm and on scene at 12.47pm. Patient had suffered allergic reaction and was assessed before leaving with WMAS for continued care.
