A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed53 were called to an RTC at 16.30pm and on scene at 16.45pm. Patient was assessed and left with other service for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 15.16pm and on scene at 15.34pm. Called to assisted EMAS with incident where patient was then assessed and flown to hospital for further care.
Medic53 were called to an RTC at 5.51am and on scene at 6.22am. Patient assessed with EMAS and conveyed with TAAS to hospital for continued care.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 17.15pm and on scene at 17.47pm. Sent to assist EMAS with motorcyclist collision where patient was assessed and transported to hospital for further care.
Medic53 were called to a medical incident at 4.20am and on scene at 4.48am. Patient assessed for serious medical condition before being treated and transferred to hospital for continued care.
G-PICU worked alongside NEST to transfer a patient to the West in just 52mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 2.5hrs.
Helimed53 were called to a medical incident at 14.28pm and on scene at 14.35pm. Patient unconscious and was assessed and intubated before being taken to hospital via land ambulance.
Medic54 were called to a medical incident at 16.58pm and on scene at 17.07pm. Patient was sedated and defribrillated due to abnormal heart rate. Conveyed by land by hospital for further care.
Helimed53 were called to a fall at 16.28pm and on scene at 16.45pm. Patient was assessed after sustaining injury following equestrian incident, before leaving with other service for further care.
Helimed53 were called to an RTC at 12.55pm and on scene at 13.11pm. Motorcyclist sustained injuries to chest following high speed RTC. Flown to hospital further continued care.
Helimed53 were called to a leisure trauma at 9.12am and on scene at 9.28am. Patient sustained shoulder injury and flown to hospital for further care.
Medic54 were called to a medical incident at 7.50am and on scene at 8.05am. Patient in cardiac arrest was taken to hospital for continued care.
