A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Medic54 were called to an RTC at 18.09pm and on scene at 18.22pm. Patient was assessed and transported to hospital by land.
Helimed53 were called to an RTC at 09.02am and on scene at 09.22am. Patient assessed, treated and transported to hospital by air.
Helimed53 were called to a fall at 15.27pm and on scene at 15.48pm. Attended a call for a patient who had suffered a head injury following a fall. Patient was assessed and transported to hospital by land.
Medic53 were called to an incident at 23.56pm and on scene at 00.30am. Attended a call for a patient who had suffered a head injury. Patient was assessed and transported to hospital by land.
Helimed53 were called to an RTC at 13.44pm and on scene at 13.54pm. Patient assessed and transported to hospital by air.
Medic54 were called to a fall at 4.35am and on scene at 4.57am. Attended a call for patient who sustained facial injuries following a fall. Conveyed to hospital for further care.
Medic55 were called to a sporting incident at 15.46pm and on scene at 15.58pm. Patient with life threatening injuries required critical care support and conveyance to hospital for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to a sporting incident at 11.50am and on scene at 12.14pm. Patient fallen from horse sustained injuries that required further care. Left with EMAS to transport to hospital
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 10.15am and on scene at 10.27am. First on scene to RTC and extricated patients with the assistance of other services who attended. Patients taken to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 14.37pm and on scene at 14.56pm. Called to patient who had fallen due to cardiac arrest. Assisted with evacuation and transported to hospital by air.
G-TCAA worked alongside STRS to transfer a patient to the East in just 52mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 2.5hrs.
Helimed54 were called to an incident at 14.05pm and on scene at 14.30pm. Assisted crews with patient who suffered cardiac arrest, and conveyed to hospital by land for continued care.
