A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Medic54 were tasked to a cardiac arrest at 03:38 and were on scene at 03:54. The crew treated a patient before conveying them to hospital by land.
Medic54 were tasked to a trauma incident at 06:40 and were on scene at 06:57. The crew treated a patient following a crush injury before transferring them to hospital by land.
Medic53 were tasked to an RTC at 06:43 and were on scene at 07:02. Working alongside other services, the crew treated a patient before they were conveyed to hospital by land.
Medic53 were tasked to a cardiac arrest at 11:39 and were on scene at 11:45. The crew assisted local services with care before transferring the patient to hospital by land.
Helimed54 were tasked to a medical emergency at 09:13 and were on scene at 09:33. The crew assessed and treated a patient before conveying them to hospital by land.
G-CPTZ crew worked alongside clinical partner team SONeT in the South to transfer an incubator patient in just 1hr 25mins. The same journey by road would have taken 5hrs 14mins.
Helimed53 were tasked to a cardiac arrest at 10:13 and were on scene at 10:31. The crew provided advanced care, returning the patient’s spontaneous circulation, before transferring them to hospital by land.
Medic53 were tasked to a medical emergency involving an infant at 22:38 and were on scene at 22:48. The crew assisted WMAS with care before transferring the patient to hospital by land.
Medic53 were tasked to a medical emergency involving an infant at 08:57 and were on scene at 09:08. The crew treated a patient before transferring them to hospital by land.
Helimed53 were tasked to a fall involving a child at 14:11 and were on scene at 14:31. The crew provided advanced care including a pre-hospital anaesthetic before transferring the patient to a paediatric major trauma centre by land.
Medic53 were tasked to a fall at 01:12 and were on scene at 01:26. The crew provided advanced critical care including a pre-hospital anaesthetic before transferring the patient to hospital by land.
Medic54 were tasked to a cardiac arrest at 01:46 and were on scene at 02:14. The crew resuscitated the patient, before providing advanced care including a pre-hospital anaesthetic, and transferring them to hospital by land.
