A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed53 were tasked to a fall at 12:24 and were on scene at 12:40. The crew provided advanced critical care before transferring the patient to hospital by land.
Helimed54 were tasked to an RTC at 09:08 and were on scene at 09:16. Working alongside EMAS, the crew assisted with extraction and assessment of a patient, before they were transferred to hospital by land.
Helimed54 were tasked to a sporting trauma at 12:27 and were on scene at 12:40. The crew assessed a patient after they had been kicked by a horse before leaving them in the care of another service.
G-CPTZ crew worked alongside clinical partner team CoMET in the Midlands to transfer a patient and their parent in just 32mins on Christmas Eve. The same journey by road would have taken 2hrs 3mins.
Medic54 were tasked to a medical emergency at 20:19 and were on scene at 20:40. The crew assessed and treated a patient before transferring them to hospital by land.
Medic54 were tasked to a medical emergency at 19:09 and were on scene at 19:30. The crew assessed and treated a patient before conveying them to hospital by land.
Medic53 were tasked to an RTC at 16:10 and were on scene at 16:33. The crew treated multiple patients, including children, before transferring them to hospital by land.
Helimed53 were tasked to an RTC at 12:41 and were on scene at 12:54. The crew treated a patient before airlifting them to hospital.
Medic54 were tasked to a medical emergency at 01:35 and were on scene at 02:07. The crew supported ambulance crews with treatment before escorting the patient to hospital by land.
G-CPTZ crew worked alongside clinical partner team ECMO in the Midlands to transfer a patient in just 1hr 6mins. The same journey by road would have taken 3hrs 40mins.
Medic54 were tasked to a medical emergency at 13:45 and were on scene at 13:55. The crew assisted EMAS with patient care before transferring them to hospital by land.
Medic53 were tasked to a medical emergency at 16:55 and were on scene at 17:22. The crew treated a patient following a medical episode before transferring them to hospital by land.
