Our Work

Air Ambulance Crew + Team

Every person who works at The Air Ambulance Service is a lifesaver. Whether they are part of our Critical Care Team, an Ambassador of our charity or running the day-to-day from Head Office.

Mark O’Donnell

Pilot

My name is Mark O’Donnell and I am a line pilot for TCAA North Base in Gamston. I originally qualified as a Special Needs Teacher and have worked with a wide range of children with varying medical and educational needs for over 25 years. I qualified as a pilot in 2003 and have over 4,500 hours of flying experience. I have worked in a variety of roles onshore including Instructing, Charter, Utilities, Aerial Filming and more recently The Children’s Air Ambulance. I feel a great sense of pride to be associated with TCAA which allows me the opportunities to bring together my experiences with both children and aviation to support them in keeping hopes alive.
