I joined TAAS in May 2018 as an Operations Coordinator working on the airdesk of the Children’s Air Ambulance. Having been a call handler and controller for my local police force for 11 years previously, this gave me the skills and experience to adapt to being the first point of contact for taskings and subsequent dispatching of our helicopters. In October 2021 I became Education & Projects Coordinator for TCAA which was a new role where I’ve developed our education and training programmes for both our crews and clinical partner teams ensuring we support our colleagues in understanding and using our service to its full potential. I really enjoy talking about our amazing service and helicopters whether it be to our clinical partner teams when they come for their annual training, new employees across the charity or when people attend base visits. I am incredibly passionate and very proud of TCAA and there’s no better feeling when you see how people appreciate what a difference you can make when we transport our patients.
