A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Medic53 received a call to an RTC at 02.55am and were on scene at 03.17am. Our critical care crew assisted the EMAS crew with patient who was then escorted to hospital for further care.
Helimed53 received a call to an RTC at 21.20pm and were on scene at 21.53pm. Assisted WMAS and emergency services. The patient was treated on scene before being taken to hospital for further care.
Medic53 received a call to an RTC at 09.06am and were on scene at 09.18pm. Two patients were treated on scene and handed over to the ambulance crew for transfer to hospital.
Medic54 received a call to a fall from height at 05.27am and arrived on scene at 05.42am. Assisted EMAS crew with treatment before patient was taken to hospital by land crew.
Medic54 received a call out to a cardiac arrest at 17.30pm and were on the scene at 17.50pm. Patient resuscitated on scene by our DLR critical care team, who then ground assisted them via land ambulance to hospital.
Helimed54 received a call at 09.07am and arrived on scene at 09.19am to a medical emergency. The crew arrived shortly after EMAS crew and patient was taken to hospital.
Helimed54 received a call at 15.52am and arrived on 16.20am. Advanced interventions occurred on scene and the patient was flown to hospital.
Medic53 received a call to an RTC at 07.55am and were on scene at 08.12am. Our critical care crew assisted with the patient and transported them to the hospital.
Medic54 received a call out to a cardiac arrest at 20.37pm and were on the scene at 20.50pm. Patient treated on scene and taken to hospital by EMAS crew.
Helimed54 were called to support EMAS and were on scene within 20 minutes. Patient treated on scene by EMAS team but DLR critical care team provided additional ongoing care and airlifted patient to hospital.
Medic54 received a call at 23.18pm and were on the scene at 23.41pm to assist EMAS with additional pain relief. The patient was escorted to hospital with EMAS crew.
Helimed54 were called to support EMAS and were on scene within 24 minutes. Patient treated on scene by our DLR critical care team who then ground assisted them via land ambulance to hospital.
