A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed54 were called to attend an RTC at 12.57pm and were on scene at 13.27pm. Patient extricated from fire and initially in cardiac arrest. Anaethetised on scene before transporting to hospital for further treatment.
Helimed53 were called to attend an RTC at 11.35am and were on scene at 11.44am. Assisted with analgesia before leaving with other service for further treatment.
Helimed54 were called to attend a fall at 11.44am and were on scene at 12.00pm. Patient had fallen down stairs and suffered head injury. Was escorted to hospital for further care by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were called to attend a fall at 16.12pm and were on scene at 16.25pm. Patient had fallen and sustained a head injury. Conveyed by land ambulance with crew to hospital.
Medic53 were called to attend an RTC at 22.59pm and were on scene at 23.51pm. Assisted EMAS with a patient who has fallen from their quad bike and sustained a head injury.
Helimed54 were called to attend a burns incident at 16.19pm and were on scene at 16.35pm. Patient had sustained electrical burns and was conveyed to hospital for further treatment.
Medic54 were called to attend a medical incident at 00.32am and were on scene at 00.55am. Patient was assessed and we provided assistance to EMAS.
Medic54 were called to attend a medical incident at 13.06pm and were on scene at 13.15pm. Patient in cardiac arrest at home and was resuscitated on scene before being transferred to hospital for further care.
Medic54 were called to attend a fall at 22.30pm and were on scene at 22.45pm. TAAS were first on scene to assess the patient before being conveyed to hospital with EMAS for further care.
Helimed53 were called to attend an RTC at 15.50pm and were on scene at 16.05pm. Patient was a cyclist involved in a collision who was assessed before being left with the other service for further care.
Medic54 were called to attend an RTC at 1.44am and were on scene at 1.58am. Patient critically injured and conveyed by land to hospital for further care.
Medic53 were called to attend an RTC at 15.28pm and were on scene at 15.42pm. Assisted WMAS with the assessment of a patient.
