A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed53 were called to attend an RTC at 14.23pm and were on scene at 14.34pm. 2 patient involved. Advanced analgesia and sedation given on scene to allow extrication of trapped driver, before conveying to hospital.
Medic54 were called to attend a fall at 21.32pm and were on scene at 21.46pm. Patient had fallen from height and sustained lower leg injury. They were assessed before being left with other service.
Helimed53 were called to attend an RTC at 6.46am and were on scene at 7.03am. 1x patient assessed and treated.
Helimed53 were called to attend a trauma at 10.39am and were on scene at 10.48am. Patient was assessed and conveyed with TAAS to hospital for further treatment.
Helimed53 were called to attend a fall at 12.10pm and were on scene at 12.22pm. Patient was assessed after sustaining an ankle injury from a fall and left with other service for further treatment.
Helimed54 were called to attend a fall at 14.59pm and were on scene at 15.17pm. Patient had fallen from tree and was assessed before being left with other service.
Helimed54 were called to attend a sporting incident at 17.53pm and were on scene at 11.54am. Patient had fallen from horse. Injuries were assessed and treated before patient was handed to EMAS for transfer to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to attend a sporting incident at 13.27pm and were on scene at 13.42pm. Patient had fallen from motocross bike and sustained serious injury. Conveyed with TAAS to hospital for further treatment.
Medic53 were called to attend a medical incident at 20.17pm and were on scene at 20.21pm. Patient had collapsed and in cardiac arrest. Conveyed with TAAS to hospital.
G-TCAA worked alongside Embrace to transfer a patient from one end of the country to the other, in just 1 hour 9 minutes. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 3.5 hours.
Helimed53 were called to attend an RTC at 10.42am and were on scene at 10.54am. Patient had sustained head injury and was escorted to hospital for further care.
Helimed54 were called to attend an RTC at 16.08pm and were on scene at 16.20pm. Assisted EMAS with car RTC. Patient assessed and left with the other service.
