WILL YOU help us TO KEEP A CHILD ALIVE?

When Oscar was born, there were concerns that her was seriously unwell. At just a few days old, we flew him 168 miles to receive the specialist care he urgently needed.

Our helicopters are flying intensive care units for babies and children. We urgently need you to say “yes” and help to provide this lifesaving support. We receive no government funding and rely on your donations to help us save more lives together

Oscar’s Story

Within hours of being born by C-Section at Royal Cornwall Hospital, Oscar was struggling to breathe, and his oxygen levels had plummeted to dangerous levels.

His doctors suspected he had a rare heart malformation, and after consulting with the specialist paediatric cardiac team at Bristol Children’s Hospital, it was decided to transfer Oscar there to get the urgent care he needed – 168 miles away.

We flew to Bristol to pick up a specialist retrieval team to fly them to Royal Cornwall Hospital.

On arrival in Cornwall, the team prepared Oscar for the flight back to Bristol Children’s Hospital and accompanied him in the helicopter – which took just 54 minutes to complete the transfer. The same journey by road would have taken nearly three hours.

Will you help us save more lives?

When every second counts, we’re there.

Without donations, the Children’s Air Ambulance would not have been able to say yes and help save Oscar. Each rescue mission costs over £5,500, but your donation today, whatever the amount, will help keep us flying for more families like Oscar’s, offering a future filled with hope.

Together, we save more lives.
