WILL YOU help us TO KEEP A CHILD ALIVE?
Mila was born prematurely while her family were on holiday. Soon after her birth, we transferred Mila again to be with her family.
Our helicopters are flying intensive care units for babies and children. We urgently need you to say “yes” and help to provide this lifesaving support. We receive no government funding and rely on your donations to help us save more lives together

Mila’s Story
Planning a holiday before your due date is common for many parents-to-be. However, you can’t pack for the unexpected. For me, that moment was a 261-mile helicopter transfer with my 9-week premature daughter, Mila. Thanks to your generous donations, the journey was made possible by the Children’s Air Ambulance.
At 30 weeks pregnant, a mini-break in Brighton seemed perfect. But suddenly, I began bleeding heavily at a café in Lewes and was rushed to the Royal Sussex Hospital. Within 30 minutes, Mila was delivered by emergency C-section, weighing just 3lb 8oz. She spent her first critical 24 hours on oxygen in the neonatal unit.
Four days later, Mila needed to be transferred to Yorkshire to be closer to family. I was shocked to learn we’d be flying by helicopter, but on August 7th, thanks to your donations, the Children’s Air Ambulance made it possible. A specialist team from Embrace prepared Mila for her flight to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, and to my relief, I could travel with her.
Today, Mila is a happy and healthy baby. Your donations made a critical difference in our lives and continue to support many families in need. Thank you for your kindness and support.

The 261-mile journey, which would have taken over 5 hours by land ambulance, was completed in just 90 minutes by air. This saved precious time and minimised risk for Mila. It was all possible thanks to your kindness – I’ll be forever grateful for your support.
When every second counts, we’re there.
Without donations, the Children’s Air Ambulance would not have been able to say yes and help save Mila. Each rescue mission costs over £5,500, but your donation today, whatever the amount, will help keep us flying for more families like Mila’s, offering a future filled with hope.
Together, we save more lives.
