Our plea to you This Winter

The next child who needs us will have no other choice.

This Winter, our crews will be ready for the next life-changing call. Your gift will help the National Children’s Air Ambulance be ready to respond when minutes matter.

The next baby or child who needs us may need urgent treatment in a specialist hospital, or a transfer closer to home near their loved ones.

Their call hasn’t come in yet.

But with your support, we’ll be there when it does.

Make a donation today, for when the next call comes in

Your gift will help keep our crews, aircraft, specialist equipment and medical supplies ready for the next emergency.

With costs rising, the average cost of a mission is now £5,700. We receive no government or NHS funding, which is why your support is so important.

Anjali, Oscar’s Mum: “I didn’t want to let Oscar go, but the crew did a wonderful job. We will be forever grateful to everyone involved.”

Please donate today and help our crews be ready for the next person who needs us, like Oscar.

Oscar’s Story

Eight-month-old Oscar had only had a sniffle, but then during the night he began to cough so hard, he was gasping for breath.

At hospital, his condition worsened. Diagnosed with bronchiolitis and a chest infection, Oscar was sedated and placed on a ventilator. He urgently needed specialist care in London.

The National Children’s Air Ambulance completed his transfer in 30 minutes. Anjali, Oscar’s mum, said

I was scared about Oscar flying, but he was already at the hospital receiving treatment before we even got out of Kent.

After three days of specialist care, Oscar was taken off the ventilator. Soon afterwards, he was able to return home.

Your donation could help us be there for the next baby or child who needs us.

Anjali concluded,

I cannot believe that the National Children’s Air Ambulance is not government funded. We will be forever grateful to everyone involved.

Help us be ready when the next call comes in

Over the festive period, while many people pause, gather, reflect or celebrate in their own way, our crews will be at base, ready for the next call to help a critically ill baby or child.

Before a mission even begins, crews check their specialist kit and equipment and ensure the aircraft are ready to respond.

When the call comes, Christmas pauses.
