WILL YOU say yes TO KEEPING A CHILD ALIVE?
When baby Indigo suffered a series of strokes, she needed to reach specialist care 340 miles away. We flew her to the care she needed in under 3 hours.
Our helicopters are flying intensive care units for babies and children. We urgently need you to say “yes” and help to provide this lifesaving support. We receive no government funding and rely on your donations to help us save more lives together.

INDIGO’S STORY
When 13-month-old Indigo suffered a series of strokes a few weeks after having chickenpox she needed specialist paediatric care at a hospital 340 miles away.
The Children’s Air Ambulance was able to pick up a specialist retrieval team from Wales and West Acute Transport for Children Service (WATCh) and fly them to collect Indigo from the Royal Cornwall Hospital. Once they arrived, the team prepared Indigo for the flight to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and accompanied her in the helicopter. Indigo’s mum, Leighanne, was able to join them for the flight using the helicopters special parent seat.
It took 2 hours and 18 minutes to fly from Truro to Liverpool compared with a road journey in a land ambulance of 5 hours 39 minutes.

I couldn’t believe all the equipment that was on the helicopter to treat Indigo and monitor her condition while we were flying. It was amazing. Most people have no idea that such intensive care takes place up in the sky. I believe that without the Children’s Air Ambulance and the team on board she would not have received the vital specialist treatment she needed so urgently as quickly as she did and may not have survived. You gave me her life.
WHEN EVERY SECOND COUNTS, WE’RE THERE.
Without donations, the Children’s Air Ambulance would not have been able to say yes and help save Indigo. Each rescue mission costs over £5,500, but your donation today, whatever the amount, will ensure we help more critically ill babies like Indigo.
Together, we save more lives.
