In Memory of

James (Jim) Cavanagh

Died peacefully on January 18th 2021 in hospital. Now reunited with his beloved wife Rita.

James' story

Jim (dad) was born in Ireland and moved to England in his early 20's. He met the love of his life in Rugby and they got married and had a family.Jim was always a hard worker and would rush to do everything quickly. He used to be able to walk up the Dunchurch hill so fast!! A devoted brother, he loved his brothers and sister in America and Dublin deeply and was always so pleased to see or hear from them.He had amazing memories of a trip to New York. We soon learnt he was never to be trusted with a golf buggy!! After retiring dad loved nothing more than to walk into town and have a coffee and cake in the cafe. He was a people watcher and loved to chat. In his latter years dad was cared for by his devoted son and family. He was spoilt and had charge of the tv controls...loving nothing more than to watch the football or snooker!! Dad always wanted to know what his grandchildren were up to and was delighted to find out he was about to be a great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. RIP now dad, in heaven with mum.
