We’ve Collaborated with an Award Winning Influencer

The end of 2020 was an exciting time for Children’s Air Ambulance as we embarked on a new collaboration with home and renovation expert Lucy Nash from Victoria_Road_Restoration.

Lucy shares her journey of renovating her home with incredible tips, advice and quick wins which has earnt her awards for Most Creative Interior 2019 and listed as one of the Evening Standards Best Instagram Renovation Accounts to follow for 2 years running.

Lucy’s style is beautiful, fresh and colourful and focuses on how to maximise items you already have or pre-loved items that still have lots of life back in them by transforming them into the style to suit your newest décor. With this being a focus, it posed the perfect opportunity for us to work together and see some of our amazing stock being upcycled and given a whole new lease of life to raise vital funds for our charity.

What was sourced and sent?

When we spoke with Lucy, home accessories and smaller pieces were the focus for the initial projects. The creative ideas already in progress with some examples of items we could send her way was so exciting. Our teams got busy looking through some of the stock we had and once picked, photos of the products were sent across to help with the planning of the creations.

Lucy sent over some of the ideas including ‘trash to treasure’ and ‘thrifty Christmas’ plans which could utilise different techniques to revamp specific items. With this in mind, we picked products that we thought would work perfectly such as; candle holders, wooden bowls, plates and even some retro suitcases.

What was created?

The wooden bowls were transformed into rustic plant hangers with the help of some frog tape, gorgeous paint and leather cord to suspend them from hooks or shelves. The candle holders were given a modern twist with some colour paint and designs, perfect as any table centrepiece.

Watch the video to see how this was done and get inspired to get your hands on some of our goods to create your own new look.

What’s coming up?

Lucy has some more exciting revamps in the works including an upcycle of the suitcases into something kids will adore, a twist with plates and crockery as well as smaller projects for creating hand storage solutions.
