Westfield Sports Car Club has raised more than £3,500 to support charity’s lifesaving missions

Westfield Sports Car Club has raised more than £3,500 to support the lifesaving missions of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
The Westfield Sports Car Club (WSCC) has been serving the interests of its members since late 1986 and has grown in size and strength considerably since. They provide numerous opportunities for all members to get involved on a local and national level, with local area meets and national shows and events arranged throughout the year to suit a wide range of interests.
The club has supported the vital charity since 2017, raising a total of £3,988.75 to support their lifesaving missions and keep their helicopters flying.
On 31 May 2025 they will be raising further funds to support the charity by attending the National Kit Car Show at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire. The Westfield Sports Car Club is the largest member club in attendance, and they will be hosting a hog roast and refreshments with all proceeds going to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
“Our club recognises the vital service the charity provides to the public and we are incredibly grateful to be able to support them with further lifesaving missions,” said Trevor Little, part of the Show & Events Team at Westfield Sports Car Club.
Within minutes, DLRAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each lifesaving mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.
Molly Norton, Community Fundraising Relationship Executive for the charity said:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved at Westfield Sports Car Club for their continued support since 2017.”
“Support like this from the local community and businesses will keep our helicopters flying and our crews available 24/7, 365 days a year for those who need us most,” she added.
