We lost our dear Mum in August 2014. Mum was an avid supporter of the DLRAA. She’d often sit making things to donate to the charity for them to sell in their shops. Sadly we lost our Poppa in October 2018 aged 87 yrs. He was an avid fan of all things that took flight. His personal library of aeroplanes beit commercial or military was huge. Growing up we were treated every year to many many air shows up and down the country. Although he worked for British Rail as a technical illustrator and draughtsman doing the technical design drawings for the trains, his heart was always with the aeroplanes. He was such a very talented artist, but always humble about it. Whilst we as a family have always supported the DLRAA, it only seemed right and fitting to choose this fabulous charity to remember our parents, not only for the excellent work it does day after day, but also because of the link to flight for our Poppa. Just perfect.Remembered by Tracy Collins, Daughter
