In Memory of

Chris North

I am going to run the Shakespeare half marathon on 26th of April 2020 in memory of my Dad and to raise funds for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire air ambulance.

or

Chris' story

My amazing, lovely and one of a kind Dadraa was taken suddenly and without warning in November 2014 days before his 64th birthday. The air ambulance was in attendance but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to save him. The fact they came out means a lot and in return I am going to run the Shakespeare half marathon in his memory and with the aim of raising £200 which will go towards the costs of their many life saving missions. Since his death I have found some comfort and peace in running. As a child when I was out on the farm with him I would quite often ask if I could run around the fields whilst he worked. I did couch to 5km last January and have not looked back since. The half marathon is just over 21km (13 miles) and I have been training for it since October and to date have not run that distance! It would've been Dad's 70th birthday this year and this seemed like a fitting tribute. Please give whatever you can. Thank you in advance. Mel ❤

What is a gift in your will?

Legacies, also known as gifts in Wills, have a profound impact on our charity, funding 1 in 7 of our lifesaving missions. Legacies are another way in which you can honour a loved one’s memory and that gift allows their memory to live on long into the future, allowing us to save lives of future generations in their name. If you have included such a special gift in your Will, you can now show that on your loved one’s page with a pledge, or you can request to learn more about legacies with our free Gifts in Wills Guide.
