My father was a very loving husband, father and grandfather . He was married to my mother the late Wendy Purser nee Collins. He was great father to me and my brother Ian. He was also wonderful father in law to my husband Richard and a brilliant grandfather to my daughter Freya. My father's last job before he took early retirement to look after Mother when she got Cancer was a fork lift driver at British Timken. He worked there for over 25 years. My Father was a very keen gardener and also had allotment for over 40 years and was even the chairman for a lot of it. Dad was never happier than when he was out in the garden. My father was so very happy when Freya his Granddaughter was born. He enjoyed spending lots of time with her, going for walks and even down the allotment where they would spend hours together. In later life my father was struggling to live on his own so came to move in and live with us. He loved living with us. My dad and I would go round garden centres together and Rich took him to see the Cobblers and Cricket. He also liked being involved with Freya's school life and went to lots of events at the school. He was very proud of her.Remembered by Julie Morris, Daughter
