Warwickshire Trust’s support for local lifesaving charity reaches £30k

The latest donation of £10,000 from O’Brien Contractor’s Charitable Trust brings the total amount they have raised for the lifesaving charity to a remarkable £30,000.

The multi-award-winning civil engineering contractor’s Charitable Trust in Leamington Spa has supported local charities since they formed in 2017, and have raised vital funds for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) each year.

Members of the Trust have organised events such as charity golf days, charity balls and bake sales – to name a few – over the last three years. This latest donation of £10,000 is the proceeds from their 2019 fundraising efforts.

Managing Director, Peter O’Brien says: “The air ambulance, whilst operating within the NHS, is self-funding which, is a feat on its own. Importantly, construction sites can be remote with very limited forms of easy access – the local air ambulance has made many rescues from such sites.

“Given our role in the construction industry, it is only natural that we support such a service, which we rely on at a time when lives are in danger. We are grateful for the assistance they give us.”

The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance rely on generous donations like these and every day of the year help to save lives at no cost to the NHS. Within minutes they can be at an incident delivering pre-hospital critical care to patients in order to give them the best chance of survival and recovery.

Community Fundraising Executive for WNAA, Lee Bunting adds: “This is the third consecutive year that O’Brien Contractors have donated £10,000 to our charity as a result of their fundraising activities. I am absolutely amazed at their dedication to our cause and the effort they go to raise these funds for us.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed and to everyone at O’Brien Contractors for their continued support. I look forward to when I am able to meet with you all personally to say a huge thank you on behalf of the charity.”
