Warwickshire charity store celebrates funding almost 450 lifesaving missions

Your local air ambulance charity homeware store in Shipston-on-Stour is celebrating funding almost 450 lifesaving missions for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

The homeware store is located in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire and is surrounded by beautiful countryside just outside of the Cotswolds. The store opened its doors on 05 May 2013 and over the past eleven years the homeware store has generated £824,654.92, funding almost 450 lifesaving missions.

The store has also received 29,366 bags of donated goods but continues to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity.

Within minutes, WNAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each rescue mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.

Store Manager Susan Thorn said: “We would like to thank everyone in the local community for their support over the past eleven years as without this we wouldn’t have been able to keep our helicopters flying and keep saving lives in Warwickshire and further afield.”

“We continue to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity,” she added.
