Warwickshire charity boutique celebrates funding more than 700 lifesaving missions
Your local air ambulance’s Rugby boutique is celebrating funding more than 700 lifesaving missions for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).
The charity boutique opened its doors on 22 November 2010 and is situated in Rugby, Warwickshire. Over the past fourteen years the store has generated £1,230,463 funding more than 700 lifesaving missions – ensuring the charity can continue to provide lifesaving critical care across Warwickshire and further afield.
This flagship store on Rugby’s High Street has enabled the charity to add more than 50 stores to its portfolio, which have helped to generate vital income to support this lifesaving charity.
Within minutes, WNAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each lifesaving mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.
The store has received 49,421 bags of donated goods but continues to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity.
Store Manager Elouise Merryweather said: “We would like to thank everyone in the local community who has supported us over the past fourteen years.
“Without this support we wouldn’t have been able to make more than 700 lifesaving missions possible in Warwickshire and further afield.”
“We would like to encourage everyone to continue donating pre-loved items such as bric-a-brac, clothing and toys as this helps to keep our crews flying 24/7, 365 days per year,” added Elouise.
