- Ways To Give
“I knew about our local air ambulance but never dreamed my family would need them at all. Let alone twice.” Stacey Price.
Married couple Stacey and Conor Price have both been rescued by the local Air Ambulance Service in separate incidents. Stacey was airlifted after a horrific road traffic accident in 2011 resulting in life-changing injuries. Six years later in 2017, Conor was injured in an explosion at work. He suffered injuries to his teeth, nose and face, badly damaged a ligament in his arm and had two seizures.
With no space for the air ambulance to land in the industrial estate where Conor was working, the crew had to land in a nearby field, climb over a mound of soil to reach him and then carry him back to the helicopter. He arrived at the hospital just 11 minutes later.
We receive no government funding – we rely entirely on the incredible support from our much-loved local community. Stacey and Conor have overcome many difficulties, but their lives are now back on track, thanks to the generosity of people like you. Read more about Stacey and Conor’s amazing story here.
