TCAA Sheffield superstore turns 2 – Join the Celebration!

The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) ‘The Hanger’ superstore in Sheffield is thrilled to be celebrating its second birthday on Sunday, 02 March 2025, with a fun-filled day of special events, discounts, and fundraising activities to support vital missions for critically ill babies and children across the UK.
Since opening in 2023, the Sheffield superstore, located in Kilner Retail Park, Wadsley Bridge, has played a vital role in generating essential funds for the charity’s lifesaving operations. Thanks to the incredible support of the local community, the store continues to contribute towards ensuring critically ill babies and children receive the specialist care they need through high-speed helicopter transfers.
To mark this special occasion, the store has planned an exciting birthday celebration from 10 AM to 4 PM. Customers can take part in a £10 fill-a-carrier-bag event, where they can purchase a bag and fill it to the brim with items from a designated section. Blade the mascot will also be making a special visit to bring extra fun and excitement to the day. A child and adult tombola will be running, giving visitors the chance to win fantastic prizes, and there will be exclusive discounts and offers throughout the store for one day only.
Assistant Store Manager Sam Deloughry shared excitement about the milestone: “We are incredibly grateful to the local community for their continued support over the past three years. Every donation, purchase, and visit to our store directly contributes to funding lifesaving missions for critically ill babies and children across the UK. We can’t wait to celebrate with our customers and encourage everyone to come along, grab a bargain, and enjoy the festivities!”
The Children’s Air Ambulance operates two clinically designed helicopters, providing a flying intensive care unit for babies and children in need of urgent medical transfers. Working alongside 11 NHS Clinical Partner Teams, including Embrace Yorkshire & Humber Infant & Children’s Transport Service at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, the charity ensures that young patients receive the specialist care they require as quickly as possible.
The store continues to welcome donations of new and preloved items, which provide crucial income for the charity. Every purchase and donation help keep the service flying and saving lives.
