Scott Bader’s cycle team present over £10K to their local Air Ambulance
This summer, the Scott Bader LEJOG team cycled the gruelling 1,000 miles from Lands’ End to John O’Groats in just eight days, raising an amazing £21,640 for our Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) and Kettering General Hospital – two charities the team hold close to their hearts.
At the end of September the team had the pleasure of presenting £10,820 to Kettering General Hospital, and on Friday 18th October our lifesaving service received the other £10,820 donation.
Team member, Dave Toyer, has first-hand experience of the valuable work the air ambulance do as he had them to thank after they air lifted his father to hospital following a motorbike accident. Without their quick response his father may not have survived.
The team at WNAA would like to say a huge well done to the Scott Bader cycling team on raising so much money for our charity, we are incredibly appreciative of their support, and we look forward to learning what challenge they decide to take on next!
