By taking part in The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) Ride In 2018, participants agree to abide by the following Terms & Conditions.
All participants must hold a current valid driving licence applicable to the machine they are riding.
All vehicles must be in a roadworthy condition and have Tax, MOT and insurance cover as required by law.
Riders must ride in a legal and safe manner remaining within the required speed limit throughout the ride.
Riders must follow instructions given by the Police and designated Marshals.
Where possible please ensure you ride in a staggered formation ensuring there is a safe distance between you and your fellow riders.
On dual carriageways please ensure you remain in lane 1 unless directed by police or event marshals.
Riders must not perform illegal manoeuvres such as wheelies, burnouts or stunts.
All vehicles must be in a roadworthy condition and (if over three years old) have a valid MOT certificate.
An approved helmet must be worn when required to do so by law.
Riders are required to wear appropriate safety clothing such as jackets, trousers, gloves and footwear.
TAAS Ride In 2018 may accept entries on the day of the event, depending on the number of pre-registered participants. Due to health and safety reasons we need to make sure that events do not go over capacity, so the places will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
By taking part, all participants, volunteers and spectators confirm that they are happy for their names and any video footage, stills or photographs taken during their participation in the Ride In 2018 to be used to publicise The Air Ambulance Service for commercial and fundraising purposes including, but not limited to, publications, marketing materials and other documents that may be made available to the public.
In the case of an emergency TAAS may use the details provided by you to contact your home, office or an emergency contact.
Any participant unsure of their physical ability to take part in the Ride In 2018 should take medical advice from a general practitioner prior to the event.
All participants enter this event entirely at their own risk and TAAS shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their participation.
TAAS takes all reasonable steps to minimise the risk of injury to participants during fundraising events. However, by taking part in this event, you acknowledge that there may be conditions or circumstances beyond our control that can lead to unforeseen risks. If you have any concerns or queries please contact us before agreeing to take part in this event.
Only registered participants are eligible to take part in the Ride In 2018. Adults must be registered by paying the entry fee.
Ride In 2018 is a non-competitive event.
Any monies raised in connection with the Ride In 2018 is held on trust for TAAS and must be passed to TAAS, we ask that you do this as soon as practically possible after the event.
The Air Ambulance Service accepts no responsibility or liable for any injury or damage to persons or bikes during the Ride In.
Our lifesaving missions are funded by your generous donations. We do not receive any government funding.
