Remember A Charity Week

Children’s Air Ambulance is one of over 200 charities that have teamed up for Remember a Charity Week (6-12 September). The campaign is to raise awareness about the profound impact that including a charitable gift in your Will can have, such as helping our crew to be there for families in their greatest hour of need.

In fact, one in seven of our missions is funded by gifts in Wills! As we are a charity that receives no government funding, this underlines how crucial these gifts are from our generous supporters.

Many people are simply not aware of this type of giving, but Remember a Charity want to increase the understanding of legacies and address misconceptions to make this type of donation something that everyone can consider.

We know many of you have recently been reflecting on the things that matter the most. After taking care of your family and friends, remember that making even a small legacy gift in your Will can have a huge impact on people’s lives in the future. Including a gift in your Will to the Children’s Air Ambulance will give critically ill children futures that they might otherwise have had snatched from them, and what a legacy that is!

Furthermore, charitable giving can benefit the gifts received by your loved ones. Remember a Charity highlights: “If you give over 10% of your estate to charity, you can benefit from a discounted inheritance tax rate of 36% across the remainder of your estate. This can bring not only the tax payable down significantly but also benefits both loved ones and charities. As such, it can pay to remember a charity”.

Writing a Will need not be complicated or expensive, which is why we are currently offering a free Will writing service.

Leave behind the gift of hope, remember the Children’s Air Ambulance in your Will.
