Our Tribute to His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

Upon hearing the sad news of the passing of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, The Air Ambulance Service would like to pay tribute to the man who stood next to Her Majesty The Queen for over six decades of marriage and her continuous reign as Queen of England.

Prince Philip was not only a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he served his country during World War Two and set up the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme in 1956, which aimed to help develop the abilities of young people, and those who have benefitted from his work as a public servant will never forget him.

On behalf of everyone at The Air Ambulance Service, we send our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to Her Majesty The Queen and to the Royal Family during this difficult time.
