Nottinghamshire children’s charity store celebrates funding more than 200 lifesaving missions

The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) charity store in Wollaton, is celebrating funding more than 200 lifesaving missions for critically ill babies and children across the UK.
The charity store opened its doors on 31 October 2017 and is situated near Wollaton Park in Nottingham. Over the past seven years the charity boutique has generated £725,496, amazingly funding more than 200 vital missions – enabling the charity to continue saving little lives.
The store has also received 53,702 bags of donated goods but continues to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the children’s charity.
The Children’s Air Ambulance is changing the face of paediatric and neonatal care through the high-speed transfer of critically ill babies and children – flying them from one hospital to another for specialist care via the clinically designed helicopters, which provide a flying intensive care unit for babies and children.
Store Manager Emma Bramley said: “We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last seven years. Without your support and donations, we wouldn’t have been able to raise the funds to support 200 vital missions for critically ill babies and children across the UK.”
“We would like to encourage as many people as possible to visit our charity boutique to browse and pick up a bargain and please continue to donate bric-a-brac, preloved items and unwanted clothing as these provide vital income for the children’s charity,” she added.
