Northamptonshire motorcycle group raise more than £46,000 to support local lifesaving charity

Tudor Rosewings Motorcycle Group from Northamptonshire have raised more than £46,000 to support the lifesaving missions of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

The Northamptonshire group have been supporting the charity since 2006 and have incredibly managed to raise more than £46,000 by organising tombola’s, raffles, attending various events and collecting donations and have even offered bucket list rides, as well as prom trips for a suggested donation.

The group’s most recent donation to support the charity was £2,000 and the team were able to travel to the charity’s airbase in Coventry to see exactly how their funds go towards making more lifesaving missions possible.

Within minutes, WNAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each rescue mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.

“We decided to support the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance as we know how important it can be for bikers to receive pre-hospital critical care as soon as possible after an incident,” said Val Coode, Main Organiser for Tudor Rosewings Motorcycle Group.

“We have been supporting them since 2006 and will do this for as long as we can, as we all need to help this vital charity continue their lifesaving missions,” she added.

Community Fundraising Executive for Northamptonshire, Karen Hughes said:

“We would like to thank everyone involved in Tudor Rosewings Motorcycle Group for raising an incredible amount to support our charity.”

“They have been supporting us for the last eighteen years and without this vital support we wouldn’t have been able to continue our lifesaving missions in Northamptonshire and further afield,” she expressed.
