Northamptonshire engineering business raises over £2,000 to support charity’s lifesaving missions

Ilmor Engineering have raised more than £2,500 to support the lifesaving missions of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).
Ilmor Engineering was founded in 1984, with manufacturing based in Brixworth Northamptonshire. Today they create powertrains and components for the world’s leading companies and are known for their ability to innovate under immense pressure when the stakes are high. Their continuous drive to maximise both power and simplicity has led them to many great successes, especially in motor sports.
Each year the company chooses a charity to support that can not only have a positive impact on their employees’ lives but also benefits the local community. During 2024 they chose to support Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance by recycling their old office technology and reselling it to staff, raising £2,540.31.
“We are incredibly proud of our employees who have demonstrated remarkable kindness and generosity during their fundraising efforts over the past year,” said Steve O’Connor, Managing Director at Ilmor Engineering.
“We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional team at the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance whose tireless work and unwavering dedication to providing pre-hospital critical care is truly admirable. We are honoured to be able to support more of their future missions,” he expressed.
Within minutes, WNAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each lifesaving mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.
Karen Hughes, Community Fundraising Executive for Northamptonshire said:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Ilmor Engineering for their support in 2024 and the vital funds they have raised to support future lifesaving missions.”
“Support like this from the local community and businesses will keep our helicopters flying and our crews available 24/7, 365 days a year for those who need us most,” she added.
