In light of the latest Government advice relating to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, Children’s Air Ambulance would like to provide people with guidance and assurances surrounding its fundraising events calendar.

We would advise supporters who are organising events on the charity’s behalf to follow the advice of Public Health England, not to put themselves or others at any risk and, therefore, postpone events until later in the year. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our supporters and very much look forward to their continued support in the coming months.

Children’s Air Ambulance has already postponed some of its own upcoming events and is in constant dialogue with The Fundraising Regulator and The Institute of Fundraising to be able to offer the latest advice around event postponements and cancellations. We will continually review and follow guidelines from the Government.

There are still many ways in which supporters can help the charity, if they are able, as we continue to support the NHS through our flying intensive care service. Our inter-hospital transfer service is continuing to fly critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care, minimising the travel time and risk for little patients. Our service continues to need your help and our website offers different ways to support the charity.

As a healthcare charity which receives no government funding, we rely solely on donations from the public and we’d like to say a big thank you to all our supporters at this difficult time – we couldn’t continue our vital transfer missions without you.

We will continually review and follow guidelines from Government with third-party eventers making their own specific announcements, so please check for details.
