Your Fundraising Pack
Whether you’re an avid sports enthusiast or just starting out, setting personal targets and teaming them up with a fundraising goal for The Air Ambulance Service is a great way to keep yourself motivated.
Is there one event you’ve always wanted to try, or have you been curious to test out your endurance on a particular course? You can recreate that from your very own home, climb the equivalent of Kilimanjaro on your stairs, run the length of the Great North Run in laps around the garden or even take a trip along the English Channel from your rowing machine in the garage. By setting up a fundraising page you can ask people to sponsor you along the way, just pick your desired event and go for it!
Choose your challenge
Decide what sports challenge you’re going to take on – thinking about the activity, the distance, the time period you will do it over.
Walk the route to the highest point of the Peak District and back – Edale to Kinder Scout 8.8 miles / 14.2km
Cover a county on foot through the amount of steps your take or by bike over a year – Derbyshire 2625 km², Leicestershire 2156 km², Rutland 382km², Warwickshire 1975 km², Northamptonshire 2364 km²
Cycle the distance from one base to another – Oxford Airport to Doncaster Sheffield Airport – 142 miles
JustGiving allows people to sponsor you for taking on your challenge without using cash. They can pay securely online knowing that their donation will be going directly towards supporting our lifesaving services.
Promote your challenge
Utilise your social media pages and share amongst your friends and family. Sharing your JustGiving page link will allow others to read your story and make paying their donations quick and easy. You could accompany your fundraising page with photos of you on your training, short video blogs of your progress or your route map from tracking apps such as Strava.
