Three Peaks Challenge Mike raises £600

Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance is saying a big thank you to supporter Mike Hamlyn (above, wearing glasses), after Mike completed the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge, raising £600 for their lifesaving services.

The impressive feat involves climbing three separate classic Welsh Peaks in less than 15 hours – including travel between them. The three peaks are Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan.

Mike said: “Bad weather and poor visibility made life difficult, but despite this I managed to complete the challenge in 13 hours and 55 minutes feeling pretty wet and tired, but thrilled to have done it.

I chose to raise money for the air ambulance as I think they are a fantastic charity that people can easily take for granted right up until the time that they need it.”

From everyone at DLRAA, thank you Mike. Your support keeps us saving lives.
