Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance

Would like to say a big thank you to the Matlock Bath Pirate Mutiny 2018 and The Most Amazing Pirate Window Competition Business after the third Matlock Bath Pirate Munity event raised £1000.54 our vital services.

Six weeks leading up to this year’s Matlock Bath Pirate Munity, businesses in Matlock Bath were asked to take part in a very special competition; dress their window or an area of their business in a pirate theme and to have a limited-edition pirate style collection tin raising funds for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.The best window display would win £50.00 and a very special prize donated from Belper & Matlock District Volunteers Group.

Fifteen business took up the challenge and entered the competition. In total 39 business displayed the special collections tins and raised funds for us and several businesses did their own activities to help boost donations. The total raised from this project was £553.18

Throughout the weekend they also held bucket collections and pirate activities around the Town and Derwent Gardens and raised a further £447.36, taking the grand total to £1000.54.

The amount of detail and time all the business spent making their displays was fantastic and made judging very difficult. The results were as follows:
