Thank You Swissport
Staff working for Swissport at East Midlands Airport have been thanked for supporting the lifesaving work of the local air ambulance charity.
Selling off unclaimed lost property is one of several initiatives they have organised to raise £2,113 for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
The charity’s fundraising manager Collette Richardson and volunteer John Burney went to the airport to present Swissport staff with a special certificate in recognition of this.
“Every mission we fly costs £1,700 and as we receive no government funding donations like this play a vital part in keeping us operational and saving lives, “says Collette.
