Thank You Greetham Gathering

On Thursday October 22nd, the Greetham Gathering’s Committee and helpers met with Charlotte Marson from the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance Service (DLRAA) at Colin Easson Motors in Cottesmore, Rutland, to present a cheque in support of DLRAA.

In 2014, the first year of the Greetham Gatherings, the committee were able to present a cheque to the DVLAA for £450. 2015 has proven to be a much more successful year for the Gatherings, and with all the extra support from the public, the committee were delighted to present a cheque for £1,500 to the DLRAA.

The picture shows Martin Fairbairn, treasurer for the Greetham Gatherings, present a cheque for £1500 to DLRAA representative Charlotte Marson. In the picture are, from left to right: Gilbert Thomas, Charlotte Marson, Roland Easson, Debbie Easson, Malcolm Radford, Mike Carr and Martin Fairbairn.

The Greetham Gathering is an informal meeting of owners and enthusiasts with interests of classic and vintage motorcycles, cars and other vehicles. It is held once a month on the third Thursday of May, June, July, August and September, in the grounds of Greetham Community Centre, Great Lane, Greetham, Rutland LE15 7NG. The event is open from about 5:00pm until dusk. All are welcome – with or without a classic or vintage vehicle! We invite visitors to come along and savor the relaxed setting and informal atmosphere. Relax and enjoy a drink (hot and cold!) and a bite. We offer hot fast-food, cakes, teas, coffees, and a licensed bar. There is ample parking with tarmac for the motorcycles. All profits are donated to the local Air Ambulance service (DLRAA) and we also have a raffle to further that cause. Further and up-to-date information can be found at our website –
