Thank You Spondon Off Road Club

On Tuesday 13th December 2016, Andrew Fearnley from Spondon Off Road Club donated £130.00 for Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).

Andrew Fearnley from Belper presented Richard and Julie Fletcher, Derbyshire community representatives for DLRAA, with the money.

The donation came after Andrew had chosen to raise money for us this year and the event was on October 8th and 9th at Stainby and at Sibbertoft in Market Harborough on November 20th.

Andrew explained Spondon off Road Club is a Derbyshire based 4×4 club (Motor Sport Authority MSA registered), with members from across the Midlands region. Their members participate in hidden punch events, cane trial sections and some pay and play days, various types of off-road events in a relaxed, family friendly but marshal controlled environment. They try to cater for all types of driver from novices just starting out, to the more enthusiastic of us. The events are usually organised so that all types of four wheel drive vehicles can be used. Road legal and trailered vehicles are welcome at their events, but all vehicles must meet minimum scrutinizing requirements. Full requirements can be found at their website.
Richard said: “I was delighted to be presented with the money from Andrew; everyone has been fantastic in supporting Andrew. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no government funding. Therefore support from people such as Andrew and Spondon Off Road Club and all friends is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.”
