Our Supporter Thank Yous – January 2019

We’re into a new year and want to thank everyone who’s spared their time and parted with money helping to keep us in the air and on the roads, saving lives this Winter. Here are some of the fantastic efforts from our supporters this month – Thank You!

 

Sean Handley of Steves Cars Belper

We would love to say a big thank you to Sean Handley of Steve’s Cars Belper for raising £231.01 for their vital services. Sean decided he would support us with a unique way by having a collection tin in his taxi since October last year and has inspired the office! Thanks for all your efforts Sean.

Emma Kate Hair & Beauty

The Air Ambulance want to say thank you to Emma Kate Hair & Beauty for raising £303.75 for their vital services. They decided they would support us with a very special Christmas Raffle and they had some fantastic prizes donated by local business in Darley Dale.

Gall Events

Gall Events donated £2500.00 to The Air Ambulance after holding a Christmas market in Bakewell at the end of November. For the past three years, the profits from this are given to various charities and Gall Events said they hope they will continue to carry on and do some good in the community. The two-day event is very successful as there’s no entry charge and free entertainment making it the perfect day out for everyone!

Mickleover Golf Club

The Air Ambulance want to say a big thank you to Mr Vernon for raising £325 Mr Vernon when he asked for donations instead of presents for his 80th birthday. We can’t thank you enough and hope you had a wonderful day.

Ripley Tuesday Club

£236.45 was raised by the members of the Ripley Tuesday Club who decided to have a collection to raise some money for us and the club doubled the donation along with some merchandise sales to reach the sub-total. Thank you from all of us, you’ve contributed to our vital services.

Mrs Brown and her friend, Terry

Thank You to Mrs Brown and her friend Terry Davis who decorate her bungalow with festive Christmas lights each year to attract donations. This year, they raised a massive £512.01.

Golden Phoenix MCC Derbyshire

£300.37 was raised by the Golden Phoenix MCC Derbyshire to keep our vital services flying. On Friday 14th December 2018 they arranged a Christmas music charity one nighter event at the Old English Gentleman Pub in Somercotes, which helped to raise this amazing amount. Thanks to everyone that got involved.

Graham & Jean Voss

Garry & Jan, owners of Twin Lakes Caravan Park handed over the whole site for their rally and supported them throughout with entertainment and pig roast. During the previous twelve months, they raised 145 Euros via an Air Ambulance collection box. During the rally money was raised from a Charity Auction, with items being supplied by motorhomers, bingo games, petanque and various other activities. Everyone had loads of fun along the way as well. The total amount raised, after converting £757.

TSB Normanton Road

Thank you to the TSB Normanton Road who have been raising funds for us throughout the year, which totalled a whopping £650. This money makes all difference to us, our service and most importantly our patients.

Global Harmon Choir

Thank you to the Global Harmony Choir in Melton Mowbray, who raised £700 for The Air Ambulance Service. What an amazing achievement!

Anne Durkin

A huge thank you from all of us at The Air Ambulance Service to Anne Durkin who raised over an incredible £5k for our services by organising a 60s dance evening. We are so grateful for all of the funds raised.

Eileen Crooks

Thank you to Eileen Crooks who collected £390 for The Air Ambulance Service as part of her 90th birthday celebrations. We can’t think you enough and wish you a healthy and happy birthday!
