Derbyshire’s Angry Bee Micro Pub creates a buzz with £1,700 donation to DLRAA

The Angry Bee Micro Pub in Heanor, Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, have celebrated raising a fabulous £1,701.20 for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) – the equivalent of a lifesaving mission.

The donation was raised over the last two years from regular collections, raffles and the sale of preserves made by one of the regulars. The Belper & Matlock District Volunteers Group have been a great support and the team at the Micro Pub have set themselves a new mission for 2020 – to reach £3,000!

Richard Fletcher, Volunteer Derbyshire Community Representative for DLRAA said: “I was delighted to be part of this fantastic achievement, their passion and support for our service is truly fantastic”.

Owner of the Angry Bee Micro Pub, Mick Ward added:

“It’s a service you never know when you need it and it’s landed in Heanor close to the pub several times over the past 12 months – It’s in everyone’s thoughts.

“The support and encouragement from Richard has really driven us to achieve our target. I would like to thank all the team and customers for their generosity and the amazing support they have given”.
