Derbyshire charity store celebrates funding almost 200 lifesaving missions

Your local air ambulance charity boutique store in Melbourne is celebrating funding almost 200 lifesaving missions for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).

The boutique opened its doors on 26 May 2017 and is situated in Melbourne, Derbyshire. Over the past seven years the charity boutique has generated £421,945.00, funding almost 200 lifesaving missions in Derbyshire and further afield.

The store has also received 35,220 bags of donated goods but continues to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity.

Within minutes, DLRAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each rescue mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.

Store Manager Claire Hadley said: “We would like to thank everyone in the local community for their support over the past seven years and without this support our crews wouldn’t be available 24/7, 365 days a year.”

“We continue to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity.

“Together with your support we are keeping the helicopters flying and the crews available 24/7, 365 days a year,” she expressed.
