Children’s Air Ambulance launches clothing range in Salford charity store

The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) is launching a clothing range in its Salford store this week to continue raising vital funds for the lifesaving service.

The Children’s Air Ambulance provides support to paediatric and neonatal care through the high-speed transfer of critically ill babies and children and flying them from one hospital to another for specialist care. The service uses clinically designed helicopters as a flying intensive care unit for babies and children.

The store, which sits on the popular and well-established Regent Retail Park Centre, has previously offered shoppers both new and pre-loved homeware, furniture, electricals, living, and brand-new white goods – and it’s now introducing a clothing range offering ladieswear, menswear, childrenswear, and accessories.

TCAA Retail Area Manager, Rachael Abi Rached, said: “Shopping in a charity shop is experience shopping, customers love the thrill of not knowing what they will find, and we want to make that experience last longer by offering a wider choice of bargains through the addition of clothing.”

The store is open seven days a week and offers a free collection service for any customers wishing to donate large items, with a van operating seven days per week to support collections and deliveries across the region.

The charity store is holding a relaunch day on Thursday 23 June to celebrate the new clothing range, and the team is encouraging the local community to join them and shop the bargains.

“We trialled clothing instore for a short while and we are glad to give our shoppers what they want. We look forward to seeing everyone at our store relaunch where there will be a DJ, Blade our charity bear mascot, and lots of great things to buy,” added Rachael.

The success of the store is vital to the lifesaving work of the charity as TCAA receives no government funding and relies solely on donations from the public and retail income to keep saving lives through its support for the NHS.

Shoppers are encouraged to visit the store between 10am and 6pm and their support will help to keep hope alive for TCAA patients and their families.
