Childbase name Children’s Air Ambulance COY

Childbase Partnership, a leading UK childcare provider with 44 nurseries throughout the south of England, has chosen Children’s Air Ambulance as their Charity of the Year.

Lucy Thompson, head of the Childbase charity and fundraising department, explained how this decision was made. “Four charities were shortlisted and staff were encouraged to vote for the charity of their choice. The result, with an overwhelming number of votes, was to support the Children’s Air Ambulance. We all feel that we can make a real difference to this charity and look forward to a year of exciting and rewarding fundraising”.nnChildbase Partnership launched their fundraising in nurseries with ‘Wellies for Helis’ day which staff and children thoroughly enjoyed. More exciting fundraising is planned for the coming year.

Tracy Grunwell, fundraising manager for Children’s Air Ambulance said “ We are really grateful to Childbase Partnership for choosing us as their Charity of the Year. We look forward to working alongside them to raise awareness of our charity and the vital work that we do. We do not receive any government funding so we rely solely on donations. As the only national service that flies critically ill children and babies to specialist paediatric centres, support like this is invaluable in helping to keep our lifesaving service in the sky”.
