Charity donation drive-in day to fund further lifesaving missions

A drive-in donation day has been arranged at Woodford Halse Social Club to help support the lifesaving missions of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

On Friday 14 March between 10:00am – 4:00pm the social club will host the drive-in donation day where items such as clothes, shoes, accessories, PC’s, laptops, phones, bric-a-brac, toys & games, small electrical items, CD’s and much more are accepted.

With no government funding and relying solely on generous donations to remain operational, income from the donation drive-ins enable the charity to operate and reach those in their hour of need.

“We have been overwhelmed with the tremendous support shown to us by the local community at other donation drive-in days and hope this one will be just as successful,” expressed WNAA Business Support Manager, Liz Kelly.

“The amount donated to us will help to support our lifesaving service. With the public’s help, we have managed to divert a significant number of unwanted items from landfill,” she added.

The charity offers a variety of reuse services, from being the first UK charity to offer a full closed-loop recycling service, offering IT Asset Reuse and data wiping services and free home collections of preloved items, to supplying over 1,000 recycling banks nationwide – diverting over 1.6million tonnes a year from landfill – the charity is making strides in driving sustainability.
