Belper shopping outlet present donation of over £1,100 to local air ambulance

De Bradelei Mill in Belper, Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, have presented a cheque for £1,138.63 to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) – to help fund lifesaving missions.

The brilliant donation was raised from regular bucket collections at the unique shopping outlet throughout last year – supported by the Belper & Matlock District Volunteers Group.

The dedicated team’s 2019 aim was to support their local air ambulance by helping to raise £1,000.00, a target they surpassed, with a mission to help raise even more in 2020!

Richard Fletcher, Volunteer Derbyshire Community Representative for DLRAA said: “It’s a real honour to be part of this fundraising project, we are out in all weathers throughout the year and the staff at De Bradelei are incredibly supportive.

“I’d like to thank all the people and visitors of Belper who were so generous and helped raise this money for the DLRAA, a vital service which provides expert critical care at no cost to the NHS or government.”

Representative of De Bradelei Mill, Debs, added: “It’s fantastic to work with Richard and the other volunteers Grace and Julie. Over the past few years they have been a real credit to the service and to our team and customers.

“We are really pleased to have smashed last year’s total and we’re looking forward to making a start on this year’s fundraising for DLRAA.”

Their next collection will be on Saturday 25th January 2020, so if you’re planning a shopping trip, visit this brilliant shopping village in the heart of Belper and help raise more money for our lifesaving charity.
