The Air Ambulance urges support following Tier 4 announcement

Your local air ambulance and Children’s Air Ambulance is urging people to continue to support the lifesaving charity by shopping at its online stores following the Government’s decision to close all non-essential shops in Tier 4 areas.

Charity Head of Retail Gemma Ingram explained: “With the health, safety, and wellbeing of our customers, volunteers, and staff a priority, some of your local air ambulance and Children’s Air Ambulance high street shops are now closed until further notice in response to the latest coronavirus pandemic advice.

“We’re urging our supporters to continue helping our lifesaving charity by shopping online with us following the Government’s decision. All stores within Tier 4 designated areas are now closed until the Government gives us the green light to open once again.”

The charity has already suffered a multimillion-pound net loss of income from the two previous national lockdowns and is extremely concerned about the impact the second wave of closures will have on its services.

While the charity’s shops are closed people are also being asked not to leave donations outside shops. The charity’s network of donation banks will remain operational and will take donations. Use our bank locater to find your nearest drop off point.

The charity is also offering a free postage service with ClickSit, which allows people to donate their goods without the need to visit a donation bank.
